Millport
Millport (Port a' Mhuilinn) is a town on the island of Great Cumbrae, which featured in almost every summer sailing trip with my grandparents. We’d take the dinghy ashore to get fish and chips for dinner and stop to see the crocodile rock on the way. This pattern reminds me so much of my grandmother who was both a courageous sailor and a fashion icon. I like to think this pattern would fit right into her wardrobe. The fitted shoulder construction and neat neckline pair with rustic welts and rolled edges to give the best of both worlds.

CONSTRUCTION
Millport is a top-down cardigan with simultaneous set-in sleeves. A little of the back is worked, then a little of the front, and then the whole piece is joined to work flat. Increases are worked for the sleeves, and the yoke is finished with raglan increases. The body and sleeves are then finished. The buttonband and neck are finished with rolled hems.
