
































Affric Sweater
Affric is a top-down raglan sweater with bands of colourwork across the body and sleeves. It uses one main colour and 2 or 3 contrast colours. The yoke is shaped with short rows and the colourwork is simple and easy to memorise, with only two colours worked at once.
Gauge
17 stitches and 26 rows per 10 cm/4 inches in stockinette
17 stitches and 22 rows per 10 cm/4 inches in colourwork
Recommended needle size
4.5mm (US7) needles, or size needed to get gauge (you may need to change needles to maintain colourwork gauge)
3.5mm (US4) for neckband, hem, and cuffs

Yarn and yardage
The grey sample was knit in Gepard Pura Lana held with mohair. The white sample was knit in Rauma Finull held double. The test knitters also used Cascade 220, Rauma Fivel, Drops Nepal, Léttlopi, Malabrigo Rios, and Bendigo Woolen Mills Luxury 10ply. Any yarn that meets gauge can be used for this pattern.
