Milsey is a clean, classic knit that can be finished in different ways depending on the finished piece you’re looking for.

It’s worked from the top down starting with the back panel, fronts are picked up and the piece is joined and worked to the hem. The neckline can be worked as a round neckline, or as a V-neck; set-in sleeves can be added or it can be left as a tank; and the edges can be worked with ribbing or rolled edges.

This pattern also has optional bust shaping.

There are two files included in this pattern, one for the V neck and one for the round neck.

DK: 20 stitches x 28 rows per 10 cm/4 inches in stitch pattern

Note: Your finished chest circumference may be up to 1 cm/0.5 inch larger depending on which trim you use.

Recommended positive ease 2-8 cm/0.75-3.25 inches, so you should pick a size that is 2-8 cm/0.75-3.25 inches larger than your chest.

Bust Shaping
This pattern has optional bust shaping. The three options correspond to a B, D, and F cup. To determine which size to knit, you will want to take your full bust measurement and your “high bust” measurement (this is the circumference of your body at the armhole). If “full bust measurement - high bust measurement”:
is less than 5 cm/2 inches, follow the main pattern instructions. These correspond to a B cup.
between 5 cm/2 inches and 10 cm/4 inches, follow the D-cup instructions. They will add 5 cm/2 inches to the full chest measurement.
between 10 cm/4 inches and 15 cm/6 inches, follow the F-cup instructions. These will add 10 cm/4 inches to the full chest measurement
